In 2012 Imogen was involved in a project with the Jazz Department at the Royal Academy of Music. The project was a collaboration between renowned jazz trio Troyka and a small jazz orchestra of Academy students: Troyk-estra was born.
Troyk-estra's first performance was at Ronnie Scott's Jazz Club in Soho (March 2012), where they performed a number of the trio's charts, arranged for big band. Conducted by Nick Smart, the performance was a huge success and led on to
performances at both the Cheltenham and London Jazz Festivals in 2013.
An album, made from the live recording at Cheltenham Jazz Festival, won Album of the Year at the 2014 Parliamentary Jazz Awards.
